Research Projects
Engineering Design - A Multi-Modal Neurocognitive Study
The multidisciplinary project consists of 3 sub-studies: design formulation, design evaluation and design selection spanning across 5 years and consists of experts from USA and Australia. The word "design" refers to engineering projects. The research aimed at developing and testing framework to identify correlation between human cognition and performance. A total of 100 participants volunteered for surveys, interviews and EEG experiments. This project resulted in 1 dissertation and 3 pending journal publications.
Design Projects: Role of Individual Motivation and Empathy
Funded by the Office of Naval Research , this 5-year project investigated the impact of motivation and empathy on engineering project and career outcomes. Engineering projects are often divided into government-funded and industry-funded. Individuals with a natural inclination towards a certain type of engineering project were examined during the longitudinal study. Leading the project honed my skills in DOE, survey-generation, focus group interviews, field research and qualitative data analysis. The project outcomes resulted in 7 publications and 1 thesis.

Mass Personalization and Supply Chain Networks
The project focused on evaluating company resilience and production robustness during Covid-19 pandemic. 3 unique D2C and B2B companies from the fashion, machinery and retail sector were selected. The qualitative inquiry shed light on the unique sector-specific practices incorporated to survive unprecedented supply chain disruptions. Project outcomes are shared in 1 conference and 1 journal publication.

Entrepreneurial Projects
CTO - Energy Tracking Application
Served as a "CTO" for an early-stage energy app startup, to track daily energy expenditure for individuals who aspire to monitor and reduce their carbon-footprint. During this project, I worked on fostering my business acumen, conducted market research by interviewing various stakeholders and administering surveys to a targeted population sample. This venture was part of an 8-week Women in STEM Entrepreneurship Challenge at the Delta Innovation Hub.

Science Policy Change Initiative
Increase funding for Interdisciplinary Research and addressing Gender Disparity within STEM
I had the honor of being selected as the top 4 STEM voices to represent The University of Georgia at Capitol Hill. The goal of the delegate was to advocate for increased funding from the house members in the realm of interdisciplinary research, a topic close to my heart. Interdisciplinary Research fosters unprecedented innovation, challenges rudimentary thinking and creates an inclusive environment for researchers who otherwise wouldn't have collaborated.
